Tenured License
Later licenses are good for a 5 year period, but must have proof of 125 hours of Continuing Education credits. Application for relicensure is the same as above.
Certification of Continuing Education credits
Continuing Education credits are certified by a local committee of teachers (Continuing Education Committee) and tracked through Keep Certified. In District staff development credits are automatically credited to teachers' Keep Certified accounts by the Staff Development Team. However, out-of-district workshops, college courses, etc. will need to be entered into Keep Certified and approved by the Continuing Education Committee. Some paperwork must be completed and uploaded for approval.
REMEMBER: THE DISTRICT IS NOT OBLIGATED TO REMIND YOU TO RENEW YOUR LICENSE!
